The ambiance strikes the sweet spot between casual comfort and refined coastal elegance, making BeetleCat ideal for everything from laid-back brunches to vibrant evening gatherings at the bar.
The menu is a treasure trove of fresh, flavorful offerings that highlight the bounty of the sea. Signature dishes like the Lobster Roll arrive generously dressed in butter and aioli, served with crisp house-cut fries—a lush, buttery bite that promises indulgence in every mouthful. For shellfish enthusiasts, the Oysters on the Half Shell and Half Dozen Baked Oysters provide a fresh and briny delight, perfectly paired with their expertly curated wine list or a zesty cocktail, such as the tangy Banana Daiquiri or the classic Salty Dog. The Mussels, touted by one guest as “the best I have ever had,” boast tender, perfectly steamed morsels swimming in a savory broth that beckons for every drop to be savored.
Non-seafood lovers will find equally enticing choices, like the Nashville Hot Chicken Donut Sandwich, a creative dance of spicy, sweet, and savory notes, or the hearty Chicken Pot Pie, oozing comfort and rich flavors. The Fish and Chips, served with malt aioli and dill, marry crispy textures with delicate, flaky fish for a dish that truly satisfies. And don’t miss the standout desserts like the Coconut Pie topped with chantilly and toasted coconut—a perfect balance of creamy sweetness and tropical depth.

While some might find the Lobster Roll portion modest, most agree that the quality and depth of flavor compensate for size. It’s clear that BeetleCat values culinary craftsmanship and ingredient integrity above all, creating dishes that feel thoughtfully constructed rather than rushed or oversized.

The food was really good. I especially loved the waitresses - super amazing. Ours took us through the menu - helping us find the right food especially because it was our first time at the restaurant. Also, we hadn't made a reservation but space was created for us. Highly recommend the place for brunch.
I got the lobster roll as it had so many positive reviews, but found it lacking in flavor and value (as it’s tiny served on a slider bun). The service was great, vibes nice and drinks solid so I’ll give it another shot with maybe the redfish next time. But wouldn’t recommended spending $40+ on a herb deficient lobster slider.
I had an amazing experience at BeetleCat. We sat at the bar and Devin took care of us, and he was incredible. Friendly, attentive, and talented. Every drink he made was perfect. We ordered the mussels, the lobster roll, and the crab roll, and everything was delicious. The mussels were honestly the best I have ever had. The mezcal espresso martini was smooth and rich, and the spicy margarita had the right balance of heat and flavor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was impeccable, and the food and drinks were top tier. I will definitely be back.
We love oysters and that’s why we came here, and it didn’t disappoint! Great oyster selection. Delicious drinks and wine. The peach salad, fish and chips, and the ikura dip were all excellent. I also enjoyed the decor, like a boat.
Came in for brunch and had a glazed donut, lobster roll and the shrimp and avocado salad, the biscuits and a side of fries. The. glazed. donut. was. SO. Delicious. It was just made, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, the glaze was the perfect amount of sweetness. Best donut I’ve ever had. The lobster roll was good. I like their choice bread, would order without the aioli next time. The salad was good as well but the donut was really the star for me. Would definitely come back. Want to visit for dinner too, their menu sounds really good. Other things to note: the staff was super kind and welcoming, very knowledgable and accommodating for allergies. And they have indoor and outdoors seating.
We had an incredible experience. The food items we got were perfect. The lobster roll was great, the fry bread was everything. It almost tasted like an Asian infused funnel cake and it was our favorite thing. The spicy lobster knuckles were awesome but be prepared to make a mess and have sticky hands. The real reason I am writing this review is actually because of the service we had. Our server Jalisse was probably the best server I have had in years. Attentive, informative but not over bearing. I would come back just for that service alone. Also special shout out to the the host Stephanie. There was an issue with the booking but somehow she made it seem less and only enhanced our night. Definitely 10/10 experience.
Definitely quite pricey but the food and drinks were fantastic! The chef sent out fresh oysters for us to try and they were excellent, I actually didn’t like oysters until now. Jill was a very attentive server and helped me decide what to order. I would definitely come back here to celebrate another special occasion while in the city. All of the seafood seemed very fresh and high quality.
This is our new monthly date night spot! It’s pricey, but every single dish was exceptional we came during happy hour for a platter of oysters make sure to try out their fried rice and the coconut curry, it’s a great combo
